A small business with a big firm pedigree

A key selling point for the SKS Benedict Group is the fact that we have a wealth of combined insolvency experience, working with advisers, companies and individuals.

Our Directors have almost 100 years’ combined experience, mostly accrued within “Top 10” and “Big 4” firms, in assisting individuals and businesses in financial distress.

The directors are supported by a team of talented professionals whom bring with them knowledge and experience from their roles within insolvency, money advice, accountancy, Sherriff officer, wealth management, banking and legal organisations.

The size of, and experience within, the business allows us to offer a market leading, high quality service at competitive rates.

Our Leadership Team

Maureen has been working in business recovery and insolvency for 29 years. For the past 14 years, she has been a Director at mlm and considers that her experience as an owner-manager has given her considerable insight into the issues faced by individuals running their own businesses.

Keith has worked in business restructuring and recovery for more than 25 years after qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1983 followed by a period overseas with a big 4 firm. Prior to joining mlm, Keith was with Baker Tilly for 8 years heading up their Restructuring and Recovery practice in Scotland.

Barry is a Director in our Glasgow office. He is on an accelerated development programme following his qualifying as an Personal Insolvency Practitioner in 2018. The intention is for Barry to become an appointment taking IP towards the end of this year and for him to begin taking personal insolvency appointments as part of a handover from Maureen Leslie.
